My name is Yurika Michishita. I’m from Hiroshima and now I live in Zelkova House.
I belong to the badminton club in ICU. I love sport and planning some events very much.
As I briefly talk in the first class, I have mainly two reasons why I have chosen to take this course; hope to know about how to acquire leadership and to take Ken’s class.
First, I have some experimence needed leadership. I was the head of badminton club in my high school, and the person in charge of accounts in ICU festival in the last year. And more, now I’m the head of third floor in Zelkova House. Therefore, I have experienced difficulties to lead many people and have to get strong leadership.
Second, I enjoyed Ken’s NP classes very much and hoped to take his class when I wondered which class I would entry as a SE class. The content of his classes and his attitude to NP classes were very interesting for me. Then, I’m very happy to take this class.
Finally, I especially want to get two abilities as leadership; power of decision making and raise more people’s cooperation. It is because I often try to listen to both side in opposition and consequently cannot decide to adopt opinion in one side, and I also tend to try to work alone and unwilling to ask for others’ help. So I want to compensate my lack of speedy decision making and of distributing work to others.
I really hope to learn a lot of hints about leadership and make use of the knowledge to my dormitory life and to make our class enjoyable.
Thank you for reading.
Hi Yurika,
返信削除Great post! And thank you for being one of the first.
You certainly have had lots of leadership roles already, which tells me you are destined for a great future.
Thanks too for your kind words regarding NP; teachers are human too and plagued with the same self-doubts and lack of confidence as everyone else, so we always appreciate positive feedback (something to keep in mind with all your teachers!).
I am glad you have some very clear goals for the class. We will touch on getting cooperation from others, but not so much the power of decision-making. Perhaps you can make this your final presentation focus, or ask one of our guest lecturers.
